Annual Clovers

Clovers increase the palatability and crude protein of annual pastures and create nitrogen to be put back into the soil—a great option for grazing mixtures and cover crops. Reduce your nitrogen fertilizer bill by adding clovers. Clovers are also ideal for haylage but not well suited for dry hay production. Timing of planting is critical as clovers need ample time to germinate and establish a root system in the fall before severe frosts hit.
