Winter and Spring Peas
A large-seeded legume crop that is extremely palatable, high protein, and has vining characteristics. Peas pair perfectly (due to vining characteristics) with small grains for winter grazing, haylage harvest, or as a heavy nitrogen production cover crop. Winter peas mature earlier and grow faster than annual clover. Early maturity provides nitrogen more quickly than most winter legumes. Winter peas grow best in well-drained soils.
