Mixture Components

Crimson Clover

A legume that can fix as much as 150 lbs. of nitrogen per acre. Degrades quickly, providing nitrogen to the cash crop early in the season.

Winter Pea

A vining legume that will grow up small grains to thicken the canopy. Provides up to 100 lbs. of nitrogen per acre. Nitrogen is available early in the season.

Daikon Radish

This radish establishes quickly and puts down an aggressive taproot, addressing soil compaction and mining for nutrients that may be quickly lost. It develops a tuber throughout the growing season that pushes up above the soil, accumulating carbon and other nutrients that will be available when it winter kills or is terminated in late spring.

Planting Instructions

Drill at 0.25-0.5” depth. Calibrate your drill to ensure you have an accurate rate. Broadcasting without incorporation is not recommended due to seed size. Target planting at a minimum of 30 days prior to frost to allow for ample radish development prior to a hard freeze.
