I didn't expect to get much out of the Gaucho the first year, but we did. You guys told me what I needed to do and I tried my best to do exactly that. Field was worked and cultipacked. You said I needed to be able to bounce a basketball on it and it was there when we seeded. Seed laid for two weeks with no rain, then came up good. It was mowed with a mower for the first few weeks of establishment to keep the weeds down and encourage the bermudagrass to spread. We are well pleased with it so far. Customer that bought it last year are coming back for more and are very happy. I have goats and I've fed them everything from alfalfa to junk and they eat this bermudagrass better than anything. It was cut for small squares (50lbs). This is well over 6 tons per acre for three cuts!
2019 Yield (Establishment year): Cut 1- 85 bales per acre, Cut 2- 50 bales per acre (Armyworm invasion reduced yield by ~50%)
2020 Yield (As of late June): Cut 1- 122 bales per acre, Cut 2- Pictured
